Enough can not be said about the influence a positive mental attitude can have on your life. By adjusting your attitude to think primarily positive thoughts you can literally make all your efforts easier and more enjoyable as well! As a result your ability to become successful in any facet of your life is greatly increased since you more or less expect to succeed.

Let’s break down exactly why it is that by maintaining positive thoughts you can actually increase your chances to become successful.

Dilutes Negative Feelings

Your self doubts and recent setbacks are now de-emphasized allowing you to be more proactive and productive. Negative feelings can sap your energy and will power as fast as a switch can turn off electricity.

Creates the Motivation to Take Action

The feeling of well being that a positive attitude can give you also supplies you with the willingness to move forward and take action. This is simply because you feel good about things and therefore success is the only thing you expect!

Helps Build Momentum

As your passion or zeal builds so does your momentum, much like running down a hill! The deeper you get into your pursuits, the greater the momentum is you are building since you are seeing results/progress which motivates you to continue forward.

Helps Sustain Efforts

Your own momentum coupled with feeling good about what you are doing will help you work through many obstacles you may encounter. Setbacks are not something likely to discourage you to the point of quitting. These will be view more as learning opportunities.

Creates an Attraction

There is no doubt that if you are truly passionate about something others ‘pick up’ on this and it increases their curiosity. This also increases your level of attraction as well making the support of others easily available. This type of support is a great source of encouragement for those times that things may not be going your way.

Possessing a positive mental attitude immediately decreases your stress levels but it also increases your chances to become successful at just about anything. It all starts with your attitude, which by the way is actually a choice you make, and your willingness to maintain positive thoughts. Your thought process is normally projected in the disposition you display to others. If your attitude is negative, this will only succeed in making you less attractive to others while also increasing the difficulty of everything you do. A negative person is only working ‘against’ themselves! Maintaining more positive thoughts on the other hand tends to give you a much ’sunnier’ disposition. Having a ‘can do’ attitude will make success come much more easily to you for reasons as explained in the 5 examples reviewed above. So why not give yourself and those around you a break starting today and choose to be more positive. When you consider this will give you a greater chance to become successful, along with a less stressful life, it seems this choice is an easy one to make!

In case you are one of the people who haven’t taken the plunge into the Twitterverse yet, a definition may be in order. In simple terms, Twitter users have 140 characters to answer the question, “What’s happening?”

This social site is still going strong and is officially defined as a social networking and micro-blogging service. You can think of Twitter updates as mini blog posts written in 140 characters or less.

Twitter is a little different from any other form of social media, but at its heart it is essentially a communication tool. When people first begin using it, it can seem a bit confusing. You may wonder, how can I really type anything of substance in 140 characters or less—and how can I make the most of it once I’ve signed up?

I personally built a large part of my own business through Twitter and many of my clients and students also report great success with this social media site, so what exactly is it that we are doing to bring about such stellar results?

Upon really giving it some thought, I came up with six important steps you can follow to get the most out of your time on Twitter.

1. Set Yourself Up for Success. When you create your Twitter profile at twitter.com, be sure to use a real photo of yourself and list your location and website URL. For your Twitter bio, you don’t get much room, so be sure to include a succinct description of what it is you do. Tip: Include keywords in your bio that reflect how you want to be found in a search.

2. Understand Twitter Lingo. Twitter has spawned a whole new world of vocabulary–some clever, some silly. There are some basics you should be aware of, as you’ll surely come across them being used sooner or later. Brush up on the meanings of terms like “re-tweet,” “direct message,” “hashtag” and more. Tip: Check out the “Twittonary.”

3. Build Your “Tribe.” The more people you follow on Twitter, the more followers you’ll gain and the richer your experience will be. Use directories like Twellow.com and Wefollow.com and Twitter’s own “find people” function to get started. Look for people who fall into your ideal target market by searching by keyword and/or location. Tip: Search everything on Twitter in real-time by using search.twitter.com.

4. Build Those Relationships. This is where the rubber hits the road. I always say that Twitter works if you work it. First, understand why you are there and what your goals are, engage in 2-way conversation (instead of just broadcasting and promoting your own stuff all the time), continually follow good people and use Twitter consistently—once every two to three weeks does not a consistent user make! If you have made the decision to use Twitter as a marketing tool, then really use it. Tip: Find key people to build relationships with by using Listorious to search Twitter lists by category.

5. Generate Valuable Tweets. Getting stuck on what to tweet about is a common stumbling block. Be sure to share links and resources that reinforce your expertise, ask and answer questions, re-tweet and acknowledge others and show some of your personality. Tip: Use tools like stufftotweet.com and the twitthis button to make finding and spreading content super simple.

6. Manage Your Time and Your Strategy. Use a productivity tool like Hootsuite, a desktop client like Seesmic or Tweetdeck, and utilize Twitter lists and a Facebook application such as Selective Tweets to automate, delegate and save you valuable time. Tip: Check out this post on social media productivity tools to get you up to speed.

The biggest Twitter takeaways?

•    Understand why you are there and what you are trying to achieve;
•    Spend a good a good amount of time interacting and engaging with others;
•    Mind your manners: for every 1 promotional tweet, do roughly 10 non-promotional tweets;
•    Share valuable content—yours and others’;
• Take advantage of the many tools and applications that can boost your productivity.

Follow my advice, and in no time, you’ll be tweeting like a pro.

You can’t discuss article marketing, especially if you’re wanting articles that will spread like wildfire across the internet, without discussing article quality. There will always be those who think you should focus only on writing and submitting as many articles as you can, and to hell with the quality of those articles.

For a lot of folks, the goal of article marketing is simply about backlinks. Get as many as you can. Doesn’t matter if they’re good, bad or somewhere in-between. Of course, they’re always going to be more skewed to the ‘bad’ side of the equation, but hey, who cares? Well, if you want your articles to go viral, then you should care.

The trouble with focusing on quantity is that it requires a helluva lot of work. When your only focus is submitting as many articles as you can, you’re setting yourself up to be working like a machine. And you’ll have to continue working that way for the foreseeable future. Want to know why?

Search Engines Don’t Like Rubbish Content

And if you think you can still just put it out there, and fool the search engines into loving it because you’ve also thrown a few backlinks at it, think again. Remember, the main concern of any search engine is providing relevant, useful information to searchers. Everything else is just gravy.

Your articles might be up there at the moment, but you’re going to see more and more of them disappear into the supplemental neverland. Which means you’re going to have to write more and more of them to make up for those that keep disappearing. Not really a great business model.

It’s Not Viral If You’re The Only One Sharing It

It’s true. Check your stats. How many of your articles are being republished? How many times are they being Stumbled, Dugg, Twittered… and don’t include the sharing you do. That just proves my point!

Low Quality Content Gets You Noticed Just as Much as High Quality Content

If someone reads a crappy article, do you really think they’re going to believe anything the author has to say? If other site owners aren’t taking your content seriously, you can bet your bottom dollar potential customers aren’t going to take much notice of it either.

Actually, scratch that. Readers very probably will take even more notice than other site owners. If someone is searching for advice on getting back with their ex and you have a zillion articles published on that topic, it’s fair to assume they’re going to come across more than one of your creations. Once they’ve seen your name over and over again, and every time they see it, it’s linked to some piece of crap… you can guess what sort of conclusion they’re going to come to about you, your site, your products, your services and anything else you might be writing about.

Quality Counts in More Ways Than You Know

Backlinks - Quality articles are more likely to be published by other site owners or picked up by ezine publishers, news sites, online magazines, etc, giving you more backlinks or every piece of content you write. And many of these will be high quality backlinks; the kind Google actually cares about rather than just Joe’s blog.

Sharing - Quality articles are more likely to be Twittered, Dugg, Stumbled, etc. Again, all of this will happen with no further work on your part. Imagine the time saved from having to go socially bookmark and backlink your own content. Heck, you could even (gasp) find you have enough time to write another quality article!

Traffic - Once readers associate your name with well written, useful, informative, quality content, they’re more likely to actively seek your content. When they realise your website provides them with all the information they need, you replace the search engines. Why bother asking Google when they already know where the best source is?

Reputation - Just read everything above. Better quality = more of everything, more articles published, more articles shared, more traffic, and ultimately more sales – because your street cred goes up with every quality piece of content you write.

I really don’t get why people insist on making life difficult for themselves. Viral marketing using articles means you absolutely need quality content. If you don’t believe me, then don’t. But it won’t make it any less of a fact.

About the Author

Few things annoy me more than seeing all the BS advice being dished out about article marketing. It’s not hard, it doesn’t take a lot of work (can you really call sitting at a computer typing ‘work’?), and it is the best method (either free or paid) for generating more traffic and more sales to your business.

So, you have a Twitter account. You got your profile all set up, and have even started posting some really clever updates. But, how on earth do you get people to read those? Is there any way to have twitter followers effectively and consistently? The short answer is, “Yes!”

The problem with this and pretty much every other thing in life, is that people want immediate gratification. There is no patience and no true understanding of the value of working to achieve the desired results. So, people turn to automated systems and other programs that offer to build their Twitter followers list overnight. I have two basic problems with those systems: they fill your followers list with spammers and other users which harm you more than they help you, and secondly, they can get your account removed. This is the Right way to build your list.

Find Gurus or Experts in Your Niche– Once you identify the Gurus in your area and go through their followers list and follow, on average, 3 to 5 pages worth of their followers. Make sure the people you add have posted something within the last few days. You don’t want to add people who only sign in sporadically.

Use the “Find People” Feature – Click the “Find People tab on your Twitter page. You will be redirected to a page with a search box in it. Type in keywords related to t he market your wish to tap. Then, you will get a list of all the people who have added your keyword to their profiles. Add as many as 500 of the people from those results in a day.

Use Twellow – This is NOT an automating service. Twellow is the Twitter equivalent to Yellow Pages. The advantage of this site is that it allows you to find people based on groups, keywords and even location. You can then see their picture and bio right there and decide whether you want to follow them or not. You will also be able to see if you are already following them or not, and if they are following you. Use this tool to add no more than 500 people per day.

Follow Your Followers’ Followers – Once you have alist of followers, go through the list and pick 3-5 people in your list and follow 3-5 pages of their followers. See, you will increase your exposure by an average of 1,000 people everytime you follow someone new. And, although these are followers of people who follow you, they do not have access to your tweets unless they have been re-tweeted (RT)

Provide Real Value – Make it a point to inspire, educate, and help people on Twitter. The more value you provide the more you RTs you will receive and the more your name will become known. Peopl will then want to follow you because of your content, not just because you followed them first.

A word of caution: Don’t be too aggressive with any one strategy for adding followers on Twitter. If you get too hungry and start following thousands of people at a time, they will freeze your account until they figure out what you’re doing, and you could have your account permanently removed. So, don’t risk that. Remember, in most cases, and Twitter is no exception, slow and steady wins the race! Happy Tweeting!

Social network marketing is an online marketing strategy that has taken the internet by storm for not only its effectiveness but its ease as well. Done correctly, online social networking can attract a significant amount of traffic to any business site you choose. However many in their rush to generate this traffic, overlook the necessary ’social graces’ required to be accepted at these sites. The end result is a lot of wasted effort and adding insult to injury, few friends are even gained from the experience.

If you are interested in using online social networks to make new friends while also boosting your business traffic, here are 5 practices to avoid!

Promoting TOO Much

Remember that online social networks are there for people to ’socialize’ and not to be sold. With that said you will need to focus your initial efforts on developing relationships at these sites. If you go ’swaggering’ into these sites promoting like a gunslinger you will likely be ’shot down’ yourself.

Listening TOO Much

It is meant to be interactive and besides how are you to get noticed by being a ‘wall flower’ all the time? Pick out a conversation that you are comfortable with or interested in and start contributing to it. This is a great way to make ‘introductions’ and capture the attention of others.

Over Extending Yourself

This online marketing strategy is very effective but it can take some time to develop comfortable relationships with others. Plan on this and only try to work a few locations first in order to be most effective. As your time allows you can then increase the number of social communities you are working.

Lacking Subtly and Tact

Join in on conversations but do not try to force your opinions since this is no way to fit in and be accepted. You want to make good impressions and develop favorable opinions about yourself and being obnoxious is not the way to do it.

Losing Patience

Do not expect overnight results since this will lead to frustration and you ‘throwing in the towel’ prematurely and wasting all the efforts and time already invested. The best suggestion is to simply relax and focus on making new friends. That is not so bad is it?

Social network marketing can be a great source of online traffic to your business if you conduct yourself properly while ‘working’ on these sites. The fact of the matter is that this online marketing strategy hold tremendous traffic potential, but only if you ‘participate’ in an accepted manner. Online social networking is ‘centered’ in socializing with other sites members. To overlook certain basics socialization skills will result in you being overlooked and disregarded by site members, therefore remember it is all about ‘connecting’ first! The 5 practices you will definitely want to avoid when using any of the online social networks are reviewed above. By avoiding these social ‘hiccups’ and taking the time to build relationships/friendships with others, you stand a much better chance of gaining both new traffic and friends!

3 Great Sites That Will Drive Traffic to Your Site – Social Networking Spider Web Tactics

Do you need to get your messages out on the web, so your articles and ideas can be discovered and shared by a wide number of viewers? Do you wish to get the message out about your services or products? Do you wish to enhance your presence on the internet, brand yourself and increase site visitors to your enterprise? Good! Here are three websites that can aid you in building your Social Networking Spider Maze and drive site visitors to your web site.

Most Advertising folks generate many various kinds of advertising and marketing supplies for their promotional efforts. These might include things like particular studies brochures, displays, or white papers that you simply give to your clients and prospects. There’s now a further method to make use of all the “documents” you generate and get some free, targeted traffic back to your website. You should use these websites to rapidly and simply flip almost any file-including PDF, Phrase, PowerPoint and Excel-right into a Web document and share it with the world.

By utilizing these sites you’re making your written works available to people on the Internet and mobile devices, and most importantly, fueling the conversations happening round them. All three are online communities and marketplaces to search out and share professional documents.

Here are the three sites it’s essential to try:

1. scribd.com
2. docstoc.com
3. slideshare.com

So what is so nice about these 3 websites?

1. For those of us on a tight advertising plan, they’re free to use. They are additionally easy to use which is absolutely great. There are some sites out there which can be an actual pain to use. I used to be on one social networking site the other day and it took me close to 15 minutes to figure out an easy way to publish a video.

2. The major search engines like google crawl these sites. A few of the Power Pointa displays that I posted to scribd.com where on the primary web page of Google’s search results inside a day. You may also define keywords and generally create inbound links to your website/blog, thereby growing site visitors even more.

3. You possibly can add virtually any type of file or document you want. They are going to be mechanically converted right into a PDF file and are virtually immediately obtainable for looking at and downloading by others (in the event you mark them public). That is nearly like submitting an article to an article directory aside from all of the different file sorts permitted.

Think about the potential site visitors you possibly can get. Not only will people review your presentations, but they can even get copies and share them with their associates. You’ll now have individuals serving to you promote your business. It’s possible you’ll even start to get people whom have never heard of you visiting your site or calling you!

The bottom line!! – these websites aid you create a viral advertising machine and grow your business!

And final of all…..

4. All three of these websites give you monitoring tools so you’ll be able to look at the downloads and see which of your postings are the most popular!

So all in all, these sites present an extremely efficient method for getting targeted visitors and are a very good low cost search engine optimization tactic, and they’re FREE. Now you may see why I like them a lot and wished to clue you in on them.

So you have probably heard the theory that if you send a series of follow-up emails to a prospect over time, that they will soften up to you and purchase your products or join your program.

I’ve put this to the test and have even gone so far as to purchase follow-up email campaigns from top marketers. Most of them failed to produce any results at all.

You see, when using long term follow-up via email, you need to remember the rule of the “valid business reason” in each message. In other words, you should have a reason for the email and that reason should have your prospect’s WANTS in mind.

You might email them with an occasional special free offer, invitation to a training call, content they can use – not a series of drip messages designed just to get them to join your business, or buy your product. People can spot those kinds of emails a mile away and you will lose them QUICK!

Remember to be yourself in your emails. Don’t go out of your way to try to make them look and sound “professional”. Make it look like you typed it to your prospect directly. You want to keep their attention, and the more unique you are the better chance you have of that.
